Garden Route Fat Bike Challenge presented by AMD Odyssey
The popularity of Fat Bikes in South Africa as an ideal recreation is growing and we are lucky enough in Sedgefield to have access to some spectacular coastal riding!
The route will take mountain bikers through the pristine and spectacular Goukamma Nature Reserve, a Cape Nature Reserve to the East of Sedgefield. The 30km route will start in Sedgefield from the Village Green and will take cyclists along single and jeep track, ancient dune systems, steep and flat sections, through cool Milkwood forests, give spectacular panoramic views of the ocean before dropping down onto the coastline for a thrilling 9km beach stretch alongside ancient fossil dunes, finishing back on the Village Green.
The route will challenge some, but mostly give riders spectacular views of a hidden part of the Garden Route!
